i think his narrative arc has pretty clearly come full circle; he’s Theon again, full stop, and that’s all, folks. like, if this is not a final POV chapter, i’ll eat my hat.
Excellent post in general, sorry I snipped most of it, but I just wanted to say that doesn’t strike me as a final chapter at all. In fact, from that chapter, I think things are going to get deeply, deeply weird for Theon. (As if his life didn’t suck enough right now.) That’s obviously Bran talking to him through the ravens, and he wants him brought to a weirwood? Something bizarre and inexplicable is going to happen, and Theon is almost certainly going to come out of it alive. For now, at least.
(BTW, people should really reread Jon’s LC election, because the weird parts of it make somuch more sense after ADWD.)
Also, I think Theon’s POV is kind of important to the war in the North… Asha is great, I don’t doubt her experience will be vital for our views on Stannis and Winterfell and so on. But Theon is transcending the political scenarios that have mostly been his purpose, moving into the magical ones, and I can see him being very useful in the eventual deeply weird involvement of Euron in the northern war. (Yeah, Euron’s an anime villain, but he’s not going to just be a menace to the Reach or just be a vague threat in the Dany plot, I’ve become convinced of that.)
“Yeah, Euron’s an anime villain-“

^Yes, this, all of this. There has to be a reason Asha wants him in the woods and not on the pyre. As for Tyrion, my big...

Dying of lolz. No comment necessary.
it’s so clear Asha...planning something. We know she doesn’t believe
